106 RCL

    Hi, on my 106 quiksilver (98) the remote central lockin has completey naffed
    up.

    changed the batteries but this didnt work so im guessing its something to do
    with the sensor.

    in this model the sensor is sort of near the sunroof with a cover over it.
    however the covers missing on mine, would this have anything to do with it?

    if anybodys got any ideas, please let me know.

    Is it infra red or radio. I guess it might be infra red from what you
    say. The cover is a diffuser and filter. Try pointing the key directly
    at the sensor from inside the car when there is no sun shining and see
    if it works (it is like a little clear LED). If it does then you just
    need a new cover. I had a similar problem a couple of years back due
    to the cover getting knocked partly off by my other half.

    fink it mite be radio as i cant see a LED, just 3 little block connector
    type fings sticking out of it
