Just pulled in at home in the drive with the clutch pedal pressed on my
Peugeot 406 Diesel. All of a sudden the car stalled and now the clutch pedal
is right down at the floor and quite floppy. Any ideas as to what the fault
    is?

Broken clutch cable or failed hydraulic cylinder.

Car in Garage, apparently the clutch arm has 'shot forward' in some way
pulling the cable and damaging it. They are looking at it tomorrow. Anyome
    else seen this?

They just said £301-00 for a new clutch and cable if it is that. :(

    thanks...

Problem was collapsed release bearing. New clutch and cable (cable was
damaged by the clutch arm shooting forward as bearing collapsed). £300.
