206 hdi Diesel additive

Hi Guys

I've had my 1.4 206 hdi into the dealers today to give me a price for replacing the diesel additive as the warning light occasionally flashes, especially after start up. After an hour they came back to me saying that the battery needs replacing which is causing the problem as it is returning a low voltage, sounds feasible I suppose but they also told me my car doesn't have the diesel additive system. I'm totally confused by that, I was under the impression all hdi' were fitted with this system ?

Hi! maybe what happened was when the vehicle was being done a PDI stainding for post delivery inspection. maybe the bsi was programmed that i has the addetive system but in actual fact that the car does not, so the bsi continuously searches for that system and it is not finding it, so the dealers should check on the compouter if it has been programmed.
