    Hi,

    I have a 306 XSi 2.0 8V 1997 P reg and it has problems stalling whilst it's
warming up. If I try to drive off it will stall. Once warmed up it's fine. I
have put a new stepper motor and new coolant temp sensor in. The MAP sensor
seems ok. The engine management light does come on for long periods of time.

I am very reluctant to take it to a garage as most near me are cowboys (from
bitter experience). I did purchase a Drapers fault code reader (model number
68079) to see if I could flash some codes, but apparently the one I bought
    doesn't work with my 306.

    One request, help?!?!?

    Cheers.

It has been suggested to me that the ECU may be at fault. I think this is a
last resort for me, as getting a correct fault code reader to get the fault
code(s) from the ECU will let me try to fix the problem myself.

Thanks again, Ill bookmark that website.
