    Hi,

There was some discussion about this topic some time ago but if anyone can
help I've got a couple more questions.

Firstly, the resistor on my car has been blowing every couple of months or
so since I had it. A lot of other people seem to have the same problem.

    1. Does anyone know why it blows? Can I do something to stop it blowing?

    2. Can I wire the connection so that it does not need the resistor? How?
If so will my dip beam/full beam cease to work?

    3. All else failing, does anyone know where I can get a resistor for less
than Peugeot charge (about £22 + vat currently).

    Thanks very much in advance.

You can wire it up so that it works as normal - side lights, dipped
and full beam regardless of the state of the ignition. I had this done
with my 306 after the dim dip resistor went kaput mid journey from
London to Scotland. The Pug garage in Penrith charged me £20 to fix it
this way after they failed to turn up a new resistor in their's or any
    other nearby garage's parts department.

I can also confirm this. Mines blew and was replaced but was wired so that
that I have a bypass connection to plug in if it goes again.
