One of the relays seems to be clicking on my 306, reading previous posts I
have a feeling it might be the indicator one. Will replacing the relay fix
this or does it need a new indicator stalk ?

How much is the stalk and is it easy to replace ?

How much do the dealers charge ?

    Thanks Mark

This seems to be a common problem. My 306 did this frequently, and it
did seem to be related to the indicators. Eventually it went really mad,
with smoke and stuff. It hasn't done it since at all - maybe dirt
    somewhere which eventually burned off?

Usually the stalk. You could try cleaning it with contact spray and
working the stalk up and down. Otherwise a new one is required. Don't
know the price--around 20 to 30 quid. Try second hand. Easy to fit,
but you do need a small torx screwdriver. Half an hour tops even for a
    dealer!!

I might try the relay first, It hasnt done it for 6months then it just
    started again ...
How do you clean the stalk ? do you have to take the cover off from around
    the steering wheel ?

Yeah, held together by torx screws, slightly larger than the ones that
hold the stalk on, though I have come across some that are held
together by ordinary Phillips screws. If you have the aerosol contact
spray with the "straw" attachment, it makes it easier. Just spray into
any opening you can find liberally, and move the stalk. Let the excess
drain out and allow to dry. If you have access to compressed air, dry
    with that. Then try it.
