Care to speculate as to it`s location ?

Apparently on the rear of cylinder block, but I`ll be buggered...etc

    Cheers

Hi, its so long since I’ve seen one fitted to a car nowadays that I
would not bother to look for it, I pull off the lowest hose!

    Indeedy,
Thats what I ended up doing, seemed to do the job though.
Bled, flushed and refilled, opening the top hose to blead the air out.
    Job done, cheers

Isn't there a bleed plug on the back of the passenger side of the rad?
With an O-ring, sometimes leaks with age. Mind you, top hose is probably
    just as easy.

On a 1.8 there is also a water bleed plug high up somewhere on the
passenger side of the engine near the diesel filter. Mechanic used it on
mine, otherwise I'd never have known it was there.
