406 (97) 2.1 TD Exec Qs

Just taken ownership of the above car. Got a few niggles, hoping
someone
may be able to help.

1. Passenger door mirror will not react to commands from the multi
directional rocker switch. However on initial switch on of the
ignition, there does seem to be some movement of the motor ! (Perhaps
regaining the memory position ?)

2. Memory buttons on the drivers seat dont appear to work. Hand book
talks
of 'beeps' after operation, but nothing happens.

3. Headlight beam adjusting switch. Passenger head-light moves;
drivers
dosent. How do these things work ? Is there a motor on the bulb
holder ?

1. Passenger door mirror. Succeeded in removing mirror cover
tonight. Only three wires on the power cable to the two motors. Strangely
when you turn the ignition to the accessories position the passenger mirror
does motor to 'some' position, but will not react to the button. You can
almost hear it trying, but not quite.

2. Seat/Mirror memory: checked the Memory fuse (No 10) it was fine, took
the memory panel out reseated the plug, still nothing........and passenger
mirror still dosent work !

Any thoughts ?

Sorry, can't help at all . All I know is the headlight adjustment switch on
mine (2.1TD GLX) needs to be 'pushed' in to work. But that affects both
lights, not just the one, so it seems you may have a dodgy motor at the
light, or maybe a loose connection.
