    Hi

I have two 406 cars both with the 4035 Philips radio cassette
stereo's. Both of them do not have a display showing on the radio but
if you catch the light right you can see the radio station etc.

One of the radios has worked but on for a short while (only had the
    car a week)

    Any ideas, loose wires etc?

    Thanks in advance

It sounds like you need to replace the fibre optic bulb(s) in the back of
the led display. Fairly easy to do, but fiddly. Bulbs are pretty cheap too
(50p each aprrox) but by 2 or 3, as they seem to give up when you have it
all apart (I didn't notice until I'd put it all back together and driven
around for a couple of miles)Hope this helps
