I have just bought a 406 1999 model year 110 HDi Estate, the front passenger
window was not working, I have replaced the regulator mechanism, with a
brand new one, it seems to go up but will not go down, I have had an auto
electrician look at it, and he seems to think it is either an earth fault or
the ecu for the windows, the switch on the left hand door is ok, does
anyone know if the controlling electronics are in the drivers door switch
console or is it a separate unit? Does anyone know where I can get a better
wiring diagram from other than the Haynes one?
    The trim spec is GLX.

    Thanks

    Garth

you may need to reprogram the ecu after fitting new unit so it knows fully
    open and closed positions
