407 coupe stalling and gearbox slipping

    Hi all, new here so my apologies if the exact question has been asked previously.
    I have a 407 coupe 2.7 diesel auto 2006.

    The engine stalls or hesitates when pulling up to traffic lights or sitting in traffic, this also happens if I'm parking or reversing off the drive. The gearbox sometimes also slips when pulling away at times and when engaging does so with a mighty thud.
    Have had the gearbox oil changed (not flushed) and no difference, from Google I have sen things pointing to maf sensor, map sensor, etc.
    Anyone with any ideas?
