Hi, my aged 205 needs a replacement for failed alternator. I've seen one for sale, of similar age, which is 12v (from a 1.1 litre model), but mine is 14v. I suspect the 12v one may not be suitable because of that discrepancy. Should I just get on with it and buy an expensive new alternator, or keep trying for a 2nd-hand one at a better price? I depend on this car, and it needs sorting out as promptly as possible.
