    Hi everyone,
I'm about to by a peugeot 307 hdi or xs.
I've been reading some problems here about the BSI of 307s and a
    milage -odometer- problem.
How can i be sure the 307 i will buy is free of such problems?
    Thanks a lot .

Get the garage to go on SAGAI and check that the X4B recall has been
    done, and get a printout.

Thanks for reply but what is 'sagai' if they ask me what it is in the garage?
I m not sure they already know that.

    Thanks.

I'd think very carefully about buying a 307.

JD Power have it third from bottom (only the Fiat Bravo and Renault Espace
got worse scores) for the second year running in their latest 2004 survey.
The recent 'Driver Power' survey was equally dire news for Peugeot. The 307
was the model that least lived up to its owners' expectations. Peugeot
dealers are the worst culprits in all this and only Daewoo got worse results
when it came to dealer satisfaction (in the Driver Power survey).

I assume you are buying from a Peugeot dealer? Then they will know
what SAGAI is and will be able to confirm that the recall has been
done. It's an internet programme that they use to access information
from Peugeot UK and Peugeot France.
