    Hi

i have pug 307 sw hdi...

about month ago, i got warning sign "brake fluid level low", went to dealer,
    they have changed front
brakes, they were worned, and changed brake fluid, because car is 2 years
    old...

today i checked under the hood, brake fluid is not on the maximum (i checked
    after service, it was)
it is about one cm below max.

is my car leaking brake fluid?
they checked whole system and there was nothing wrong, but where did fluid
    go?

    thnx

There is a known fault with 406's - the switch operated by the
habndbrake to illuminate the handbrake light devlopes a fault that
causes a low brake fluid alram - had the switch changed on mine - no
    more problems.

Chances are you have no leak - if you are heavy on your brakes or do a lot
of miles your front brake pads are wearing down - so the pistons in the
callipers move out and the fluid level drops - this is normal !
If it is playing on your mind - better be safe than sorry and keep a close
eye on the level and take it to your local garage !

  4. no problem with switch...
when i got alarm, checked under hood, there was NO fluit in that
    container!!!

dealer said that is normal when brakes are worn...but i do not trust
him..becaous there was no fluid at all.
