Clarion pu9318a & pu9833a Radio Tuning.....?

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by troubleinstore, Nov 23, 2004.

  1. HI,

    Got a Clarion PU-9318a & a PU-9833a radio cassette player.

Got the code numbers and both work.

What I would like to know now is, how on earth do I store radio stations. I
can scan up and down fine but can't for the life of me work out how to store
    the stations.

    Any help much appreciated.

I think you just tune in to a station, then press and hold the relevant
    station button until it beeps.

  3. Or til it the music comes back, that's what my Clarion does, but I don't
have the model number to hand. Either way - press and hold the station
button like Andy says. Think this is pretty universal now?

Electric aerial, I took a live feed from the towing electrics permanent live
at the rear, switched live from rear of radio unit and earth straight into
    body, where light cluster attaches.

It was a long time ago, and on a VW Polo, don't know about Peugeot though.

I am feeling out of sorts with my 406 at the moment, cos having spent loads
to get it through MOT recently (wheel bearings, brake callipers etc...) some
little bas$£"$ on a moped has driven into the front wing outside my house,
    then he drove off......!

Why if I ever get my hands on him...

  6. Many thanks for that Andy. The car I have, purchased recently, someone had
taken the radio out but cutting the wires, probably the garage where I
purchased it, because it was in the boot. Connected to the wires still
attached was a cable which I didn't know what was for, so I disconnected it
without checking to see where it was connected. Anyway, thanks to your info,
I have now reconnected it, the radio works fine, the aerial goes up and down
when the ignition key is turned and I am happy. Just got all the other
    little niggles to sought now.
Watch this space, I am sure I will have further questions.
