According to a mechanic, I need a new air flow meter.

The car accelerates erratically at low revs, and when accelerating
uphill (under load) the car feels that it is holding back.

I read on another group that increasing the idle speed, via the air
screw, to ca. 1200 rpm, helps to compensate for this problem (normal
    idling speed is ca. 1000rpm).

Do you think there is any truth in the rumour?

    Thanks

    Sp.

Ps. could I adjust the air flow meter?

Hi there I have no idea myself but i think my 106 quicksilver is doing a
similar thing, do the revs seem to go up quickly when accelrating and then
    falling back again?!

    No,

I think my car is misfiring, but only on occassions, at other times it
    drives well.

    I am having it tested.

According to a mechanic, the problem appears to be caused by a bad
earth. I remain to be convinced. He said that bad earths can throw the
    injection system off??
