Ok, Just bought a 2nd hand 106 Independence 02 reg.

Its only done 29k and its its a really nice little car.

Just picked it up from the dealer, and drove it around a bit, while
    being
parked outside a friends house (engine ruinning) the cooling fan kept
    coming
on every 2-3 minutes, would run for about 30 seconds, and then go off.
(Lather, rinse, repeat), Now the day was warm, but i have never had a
    car
do this....so i dont think its normal... Waited till now (9pm ish),
    drove it around,
and its not doing it (cool night)

Do you all think somethings wrong? It drives and sounds like a dream
    and
doesnt overheat when driving.....(its one of those without the temp
    guage,
its just got the warning light)

    Any ideas?

    ====================
    The cut-in temperatures are 97C / 101C (Petrol / Diesel) and those
temperatures can easily be reached on a hot day in standing traffic with
no air flow through the radiator. The cut-out temperatures are 92C / 97C
so it would appear that your fan was operating quite efficiently and
correctly. You say the day was warm but don't say exactly what the
temperature was so I guess that you've just been caught out a bit by the
very hot weather we've had recently.

Just monitor the situation for a few days and see what happens!
