Engine revs strangely?

    Hi all, hopefully someone can help me as I think Pug are trying to pull the wool over my eyes on this one! I have a Peugeot 308sw 1.6*automatic*2011 model.Had lots of problems like cooling system replaced and*solenoid*in gearbox changed as well as a heat shield on the underside of*car*that routinely falls off...Now when starting the car idles roughly above 1, 000 rpm for a few minutes and you can feel it trying to lurch when put in gear with your foot on the break. Mechanic said the car should do this to warm the*cat*up but it didn't do this before.Have owned since new and at 35, 000 miles just need to know what it could be or if this really is a 'feature' of the*engine...
