Hello PF - my 3008 (2011 auto) has a peculiar issue when stationary at traffic lights with my foot on the brake a warning sound and message appears to say that the "ESP / ABS system" is faulty. The ABS switch (right of the steering wheel - right hand drive) comes on. Another warning comes soon after that the ABS has been disabled - and then another warming to say that the parking brake is faulty. It also stops the cruise control from working.

After cutting the ignition and turning it back on, the issue remains. Sometimes after turning on the ignition it appears to be back to normal but I can't move it out of park. I then have to squeeze the brake until the warning messages reappear then I can move it out of park. I have to gently accelerate to move off and turn the parking brake off.

Then after about 4 or 5 different trips in the car the problem goes away..

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards, Rett
