Just spray a bit of a silicone plastic polish (or rubber and vinyl
lubricant) on a cloth and wipe it round the rubber door seal, don't wash it
off the next time you clean the car! You can also use some vaseline or
anything else similarly inert that will lubricate the rubber but not react
    with it.

Vaseline is not a good idea as it is petroleum jelly and will rot any
natural rubber, silicone grease is what you want.
BMW dealers sell a tube with a foam applicator for about £4

    Gummi-Pflege
