Or it's blocked with ash, which is what is left after regeneration. This is
the particle filter in the exhaust BTW.
You should be able to get a service exchange, which is far cheaper than
fitting a new one. Some franchises will try to sell you a new one, around
    £500.
I assume it is the 110 HDI, what distance has it covered?

  4. It can't be blocked with ash after regeneration thats the hole point of
regeneration !.It has to be 110 as 90 bhp wasnt fitted with a fap! .DW10ATED
    engine

If you check the How it works bit on the PSA website, it explains quite
clearly the workings of the particle filter. What they empty out is most
certainly ash. The regeneration forces the system to heat up the exhaust to
a point where the soot which is clogging the filter is burned off. This
rarely has to be triggered manually as it is normally an automatic
proceedure. Eventually, after 50 to 80 k miles, depending on the age of the
vehicle, the filter has to be cleaned of the ash build up. This is done by
way of a service exchange. (Or, in some cases the dealer will try to get the
poor unfortunate owner to shell out for a new one).
You should not get a build up of the cerine fluid in the filter unless the
system is over supplying same to the fuel tank. (which does sometimes
    happen).

  6. Or it's blocked with ash, which is what is left after regeneration<<<<<< this
is what you said ..It can't be blocked with ash/soot as thats the whole
point of regeneration . Basically the cerine attaches itself to the soot
particles to lower the combustion teemp to around 450 c (for regeneration )
after time either 48,000 miles or 72,000 epx 42 or eloys 76 the PARTICULATE
EMISSION FILTER IS BLOCKED !! due to the cerine in the exhaust approx 155 g
when full ... two counters on the vehicle cerine what has been injected into
the fuel and cerine DEPOSITED in the p.e.f ..
