How do air con pipes connect?

    Hi,
I’ve sourced a new replacement air con pipe for my 199 306 xsi for
£50(the old one leaks, was quoted £110 for the part so decided to try
a few suppliers myself) - it’s the pipe that goes from compressor to
bulkhead and includes the low-pressure side filling valve. I’ve had a
look at the old one and i’m trying to figure out how the pipes
connect, e.g. what I have to loosen to remove the old one. Can anyone
    provide a bit of insight?

Any chance you could let me know where you got the aircon pipe from? Mines
    bust.
and did you get the long or short pipe?
    Cheers

If you've got a good source of aircon bits I'd be interested too. My Xantia
looks like the compressors leaking slightly.

Hi I have been looking into a DIY repair on my aircon system (holed
condenser), and from what i can gather they are called springlock
fittings, there is a special tool you can buy to break the
connections, the seal is made by ’o’ rings which may or may not need
    replacing

    here is a link:-

Yes those are the tools you need. Usually the black one, sometimes the
blue one. And I recommend that you ALWAYS change the 'o' rings, and
lubricate them before assembly with whatever PAG oil is specified for
    your vehicle.
