I can't disconnect my fuel filter

I'm trying to replace the fuel filter on my 99 model petrol 306 but I can't
detach the fuel lines from the original filter. The ends of the fuel lines
that connect to the filter have some kind of attachment rather than 'worm
    drive' hose clips.

Has anybody seen these and know how to release them?

    Thanks in advance,

If they are crimped they're probably original factory equipment.
Cut them off (carefully with a fine hacksaw) and use jubilee clips on the
    new filter.

Thanks for taking the time to write Dave.

I called the closest good Peugeot dealer to me (my local dealer, Oxford, is
very poor in my experience - I didn't even get the filter from them), they
told me that all I needed to do was push down on any silver or white areas
on the connectors and pull them away from the filter. They came off very
easily and made a good connection with the new filter too.

"I called the closest good Peugeot dealer to me " - What, so there is one
    then!!! LOL!!!

Actually, my local Pug dealer is pretty spot-on; always doing parts
    print-outs, for my home repairs!
