    No, I don't know either and can't find it in the Haynes Book of Lies. Its
    just behind the grille at the front.

    Looks like a resistor....probably for your lights bright/dipped...

    It is a cooling fan speed resistor.

    I changed one on a xsara about 3 weeks ago.

    That paticular vehicle was 2 years old with aircon.

    There were 2 in the cooling fan panel ( as yours) & colour coded because of
    differant resistance ratings.

    The problem with mine is that the fan did not work until near boil warning,
    checked both resistors using a multimeter & found one resistor dead.

    I can't remember the exact price of the unit - I think around a tenner.
