Ignition on 1.6 16 valve - misfires? Ticking noise @ 2000 rpm

    Hi,

    Does anyone have experience of misfiring on new cars? I hear a ticking sound
    at 2000-3000 rpm during medium load. It occurs only when the engine is varm.
    I use (unleaded) 95E now and since the car was new. I have a 206CC with the
    1.6 16 valve engine (same as in some of Citroën Xsara). The problem has
    increased step by step as the car has already run 80000 kilometres since it
    was new (october 2001). Have no warranty left on it so every hint to
    are welcomed.
