    Hi everyone.
I recently got me a Peugeot 206cc (yr 2003) from a friend that passed away.
I noticed that the indicator switch had some problems holding the interior light on, high beams on and the indicators. They often switched off after seconds i turned each of the lights on.
I found a new indicator switch on ebay and replaced it with no issues installing.
But now the problem is, when i turn the ignition on, step 1 and 2 i have rear lights on and instrument lights on but no headlights and then when I start the cars i have rear and front lights on but now I dont have any indicators working at all or any of the headlights stages doing anything (parking light and headlights). High beams work only if I hold it down but wont stay high beamed. Hazard lights work as normal. So Im thinking it cannot be a faulty relay?
I have dismanteled all of this countless times and i cannot see any faults in the assembly or anywhere on the board for that matter. All these small black sliders have good connection as well.
What has happened here now, it has a brand new switch on but all of these issues now??
I took apart my old switch and the circuit sliders in there were totally worn out thus why i got a new one.
But now I drive without interior light and no indicators. It's a big problem and I have no idea what to do now.
I found one used on the internet with the same XT number but Im scared I still have to go and reprogram this or that and here only programming a new key I cannot find cheaper than 200 dollars.
Can any expert or someone with knowledge about this please help me. I cant drive without indicators, the other stuff I can live with but man do I get fingers not blinking :(
Do I need to do a BSI reset after all this fiddling?
    Someone please HELP!!

    Sincerely Alex, Happy Holidays!! 2024
