    Hey there,

Bought this beauty a month ago or so. Around 70000Kms (+/- 43000 Miles).

First time i've got my hands on it i suspected that the thermostat was cutted out because when I sped up the temperature gauge came down.

    This is his condition now.

First of all, replaced the Engine Oil and Oil Filter, Air Filter. Spark Plugs and steering ball joints.

Then, the timing belt, water pump and Oil Seals (Cranckshaft and Camshaft).

This is the reason way the last owner cutted out the thermostat.

The new Timing Belt Kit, with the new Water Pump and Seals.

    In with the new :)

The old timing belt and seals were in a bad shape too.

The thermostat was cutted out as I suspected.
Installed a new thermostat too, but I didn't take pics of it.

After all, filled in the radiator system with antifreeze, and started the engine. While working I bled the cooling system, and let the engine warm up. Checked if the cooling fan started out, and got it for a drive. Everything normal.

Then, replaced the lower engine mounting, because it was on a bad shape too. 20 Year Old mountings, get tired too.

Then I went to the suspension system.

The swingarms had a bit of backlash, and the bushings were cracked, so I replaced them with two new ones.

Because I was already there, removing the swingarms, replaced the gearbox seals, they were leaking a bit.

The gearbox got new 75w80 Oil. Problem Solved.

The gears are now easier and lighter to engage.

Two of the anti-roll bar bushes were old and cracked too, so, new came in.

Replaced the front brakes too (Brake discs + Brake Pads). The old ones were just old, and weared out.

The rear tires were cracked and worned out, so I replaced them with two new Nexen N'blue HD Plus.

On the cosmetic side, I just painted the bumpers and all exterior black plastics with a special black paint.

I'll try to keep the thread updated.

    Thank You!
