peugeot 206 2.0 hdi starter problems

    Hi, i am having problems with my car getting it to start.
    the starter motor burnt out a few days ago so i have got a new starter and fitted it.When turning the key it is not turning the engine over but you can hear the starter spinning. I took the starter back off and wired it up and turned the key to make sure it working and all is fine. The car will bump but will not start with the key.
    Economy mode active is showing on the display. anyone know what this could be? Thanks
