Well played. I guess you'll never learn.

    Toyota MDT in MO

P.S. Do try my ohmmeter test tip though. Do it for the children.

  3. Damn, I knew I shouldn't have bought that cheap calendar that was printed in
    Taiwan ;o)

Having said that. BT use Giganews for their usenet service and they have
phenomenal retention. I have just scrolled down and the earliest post is
4th July 2003 (yes! 2003) by GT who is talking about a 405GR 4x4 Speedo.

Presumably they just set up an account in OE, or any news reader, using the
same details as the person you want to hijack. There are no checks as to
displayed name or displayed (usually invalid) email address. Some news
servers require a login but that is usually a user name and password neither
of which is visible to other users. I guess there is no way at all to
    stop them doing it.

I am not familiar with Google Mail but I have checked the Sent Box on my
computer (in OE) and also on my ISPs server (BT) and his posts do not appear
in either. If they are getting into your Google sent box I think it is
something you need to take up with Google because there would need to be a
big hole in their security for that to happen. I shall be interested to
    hear what response you get.

    Cheers,

I have a peugeot 406 1.9 TD estate 1997 P reg, failed MOT on air bag light flashing for 2 mins then permanently on. I tried soldering connections under the seat it didn't work. Took it to the garage put on diagnostic machine and it showed both seat belt tensioners faulty. The mechanic said it was unusual for both to be faulty. He sent me to Maplins to buy 2 x 2.7 OHM resistors. Disconnected the seat belt tensioners under seat and connected resistors across red and yellow on one side and brown and grey on drivers side. Retested on diagnostic machine and it still showed the same fault. Mechanic had a spare ECU that he had got years ago for someone else. We changed it and ran the diagnostic machine again and the fault was cleared and it solved the problem. It cost me £50 in all and I was lucky. It sounds like every time you change a part you still need to run the diagnostic machine to clear the original fault. If I had taken it to a peugeot dealer I would have scrapped it. Hope this helps anyone else!
