Hi. I have a creaking sound from the nearside rear wheel area. I think it
is coming from one of the suspension components. When I pull on the top of
the rear wheel I get a creaking/squeaking sound. Also when driving slowly
I can hear the creaking as the car goes over small undulations in the
road. Has any user experienced this ? What was the faulty part ?

This sounds like a problem I had with my 406 1.9TD, I thought it was the
spare wheel vibrating in the boot for a few days! Anyway, best to check
the mountings on the swinging arm which runs from the inside of each wheel
forward to beneath the rear doors. I was fortunate to have the dealer fix
it at no cost, (but also disappointed that the dealer didn’t see this
before selling it to me!!!) as I had bought the car one month pervious
from them! So I have no idea how much it cost.

Just found out that the lower suspension arm bush (pressed in the hub
carrier) has plenty of wear. Just bought the fitting tool and new bush. I
will post the result soon as I've done the job.
