Peugeot 406 short shifter

    I have a shifter with lift up reverse and i was wondering if there is any way of making it shorter. My friend used metal saw for his, but he doesnt have lift up reverse. Is anything possible with stock 406 shifter or do I need specific short shifter or can I just cut it down?
