Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Brian Summers, Apr 21, 2004.

  1. I am looking for a good Peugeot mechanic in the Chicago area. If any
one can help me or give me some advise on finding one, it would be very
    appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello,
I don't know any Peugeot mechanic in Chicago, or in the USA, but you could
try to contact Peugeot Motors of America to get a list of dealers /
    mechanics.
Here they are : Peugeot motors of America, Inc.

    Overlook at Great Notch
    150 Clove Rd
    Little Falls 07424
    New Jersey
    Phone : (1) 973 812 44 44
    Fax : (1) 973 812 21 48
So the 505 V6 has been exported ? Mustn't be common in the US, as there were
    only 5008 built !

  3. Thank you for the info! You are correct- not many Peugeots here in the
U.S. It really is a shame they pulled out of the North American market.
The 505 is such a great car! Hopefully Peugeot will start selling cars
here again sometime soon- I would love to have a new one.

    Hello,
That's what I tend to think, too.
The 505 was a great car, the 405 was even a better car, possibly one of the
best cars for its class when it was released in 1987.
I've heard a US version of the 407 (codename D2) was in development (with
codename D2Z), but I've also heard D2Z development has been canceled :-(
BTW, the 407 isn't the "next big thing" as I wrote in the past, as it has
been released these days in France. The TV ad shows a 407 running in US
streets, perhaps a sign ? It also was the case of the 406 ad, so I don't
    know...
