rotates slowly) battery terminal connections loose or corroded. air
filter element dirty or clogged.preheating system fault. stop solenoid
fault.air in fuel system.injection pump timing incorrect.low cylinder
    compressions.major mechanical failure(eg broken timing belt).wax formed
in fuel(in very cold weather) i hope this can help you,

  5. is it a HDi?

then diesel will always flow to the injector, however, the injectors
are on an injector rail ( the common rail) and opened and closed
electronically. you could see if there is voltage running over that
rail. is suspect it to be 12 volts but that is up to a HDi specialist
    to define.
It might be that the anti theft start intermitter has packed up, OR
that one of your kids or your neighbours offspring have played with
the car keys and managed to get the little black "magnet"out that is
supposed to be in your key.
have you tried the spare keys?

    cheers

If it ia an HDI, then this happened on a brand new one recently. Wouldn't
start off the delivery transporter. Solution was to disconnect the battery,
    then reconnect. Full system reboot.
If the transponder in the key is not working, you normally get a warning
light on the dash. Also on many models, the starter doesn't turn either.
If older DT engine, check glow plugs and that they are getting power, ie.
relay is also working. If you say that fuel is at the injectors, I assume
that you have bled the high pressure pipes, and fuel is coming out of the
joint at the top of the injector free of bubbles. (Air in the system will
    also prevent starting).
You could also try the "reboot" as in the HDI for the later DT since they
    have some electronic control too.
