    Hi Guys,

It's been a while but I come in desperate need.

I need the key for my wheel locking nuts. It's a P reg 406 2.1 TD exec and
peugeot don't sell the key anymore :(

The one I had has broke and is useless. It's the type of key that has four
prongs on it that fit into four holes.

Without it I am screwed as no garage wants to drill them of with fear of
damaging my wheels even though I don't care.

Can anyone help? I'll pay :) My email is

    I'll be checking here though.

    Fingers crossed....

    Thanks guys

I feel for you!! I had a similar problem. I initially drilled out
the four pins and replaced them with 3mm dia. silver steel(hardened &
tempered). These worked OK initially, but no match for a garages air
wrench. I suggest the best approach is to remove the security bolt with
a female version of a stud extractor(most decent garages would have a
set). Finally, throw away all security bolts & use standard wheel bolts

No self-respecting garage should use any form of impact wrench with these
security bolts, you should only ever use a torque wrench.
However, I have seen advertised a universal adapter for these, though don't
know how effective they might be.
It's in the current Screwfix catalogue, Page 579.

    Thanks guys.
I'm really hoping I can get a replacement from somewhere as I'm not sure
those will work. Would snap them up if they did.

    There's a tool I can get but it costs a fortune. :(

I can't believe peugeot won't help me out. Complete Bas£&rds.

    :)

  7. Have you tried a breakers yard. Chances are they would have a box full of
that sort of thing, This is a useful web site for getting second hand
bits www.partsgateway.co.uk, it circulates your request, and this is a
breaker specialising in Pugs, Citroens and Renaults (including by post) that
I found very knowledgeable and helpful
(Cit-Ren Ltd, Howe Pitts, Norwich Road, Brooke, Norwich, NR15 1HJ). Remove
NOSPAM from their email address, I put it in to protect them.

    Hope this helps.

We have a box of them in our garage so I would assume most Peugeot
garages will have the same. All you need is one with at least two pins
in the right position and carefully loosen off your bolts. Then either
get a new set of locking bolts or use ordinary bolts.
