    Hi folks.

    Got a 306 1.9D.
Problem as follows. Yesterday we had a rough time trying to start it to
run, but preheat indicator still worked from third or fourth time. Today
i outright refuses to come up and we cannot start the engine.

What can be done about this ? I'm not a knowledgeable person in
mechanics, but i'll manage if given instructions (figured out computers,
so, how hard cars can be ? :D ) Not keen to put it thru mechanics again,
because just 2 weeks ago had a clutch replaced and i'm broke.

So, any help here ? Appreciated... Thanks...

It's probably the preheat relay that's gone. I replaced the one on my
old 205 when that went. It is a simple job to do provided the bolts
that connect the cables aren't corroded or burnt to imobility.

My 306 manual says the preheat control is mounted on the back of the
battery box. It laso suggests that Peugeot dispensed with the bolts to
    connect the wires...
