    Hi everyone,

My 306 DTurbo (P reg) is having a bit of trouble starting. I bought the
car last august and it has been no bother except it wouldn't always
start first time. It would nearly always start 2nd time however. Lately
though this has become worse and it can take several goes to get the
car to start. One time i nearly had to call break down to get it
started but just before i did i gave it one more go and it finally
    roared into life.

I think its time for a bit of a service im guessing glow plugs and
battery however this is going to cost me a fiar whack as i like to get
decent parts and being a bit ckint at the moment I would just like to
check that these are the only things it could be?

Is there anything else that would cause this problem to happen, as you
probobly can guess im not the most mechanically minded but with the
help of my haynes manual I should be up for most things.

    Cheers in advance,

    Matthew

just start with glow plugs and batt.then when it is running a bit
better give it a full service like All the filters .you will see the
diff as soon as you have done all that..

  3. If the battery can cope with several attempts at starting it must be
reasonably good. I would suggest just doing the glow plugs initially as
cost seems to be the ruling factor.
