Hi all. I recently had a problem with my cooling system I replaced the thermostat and that seemed to fix it. The car had overheated and I found a leak in the thermostat housing. The stop warning light came on and stayed on and made three beeps (see my previous post).
Car has been running fine for a couple of weeks after replacing top hose and thermostat housing. The top end running temp is around 90 degrees according to the gauge. Sometimes if stuck in traffic it creeps over 90 and the fan cuts in as its supposed to and the temp drops back down....all well and good.
However, today, while stuck in traffic, the car made three beeps and the stop light flashed on the dash for a brief second. The temp gauge was fractionally over 90 so not over heating, and it done it a second time when the gauge was bang on 90 degrees. The stop light did not stay on.
I'm not loosing coolant, the oil levels are fine and no other warning lights etc were displayed
I notice that it seemed to do this when I was pulling away
    Any suggestions
    Thanks in advance
    Russ
