    Hi,

I'm just about to take delivery of a 307 HDI 110bhp Rapier with
23000 miles on the clock (despite reading about all the problems)
after driving a 406 for the last 6 years.

Can anyone tell me if its possible to easily change the Aircon from
the manual version that comes with the Rapier to the Climate control
version that is supplied with higher spec models.
By easily I mean would I just need to change the heater control box?

My 406 was a GLX and I loved the Climate control!

I would also like to change the front lights with the ones with the
fog lamps in, does anyone know if the wiring is in place to accept
these lamps and if all I'd need do was replace the Lamps and add the
    proper switch on the facia?

I am not looking to 'boy up' my new car!

    Thanks
    Simon

The fog lamps is something I would like to do with mine. I reckon you
need to change the front light units, renew the Comm 2000 to include
the correct switch, and then you must configure the BSI to "know" that
front fogs are fitted. All of this is expensive, and I don't think it
    is worth it.
I don't think it's just a case of changing the heater control box to
upgrade to climate control. There's bound to be other things to do,
not least that configuration of the BSI.

Er, if you want the higher-spec features, then it's madness to buy the
    Rapier !

Pass on that one, and go buy yourself a higher model.

Its too late, I've already bought it.
It doesn't matter if I can't upgarde the aircon, but if I could and I
could find someone 'breaking' a higer spec model with the digital
climate control then I would do it.

I probably should have waited for the higher spec mode; but the money
was burning a hole in my pocket and my old 406 was just about to die!

Go on Ebay and search for Peugeot 307. There are a couple of items
where someone is breaking a 307. Can't remember what spec it was
    though.
