    Hi
Got a 406 LX 2.0 Ltr and noticed, a while ago, some squeaking coming from
the Front drivers wheel. Have since changed the tyres on the front, they
where wearing anyway, and have noticed the squealing getting worse, its when
the car is going straight, when i turn the wheel it goes and when I apply
the brakes the metalic squeeling goes also.

    Any ideas?
would it be driveshaft, wheel itself?

At a guess low and/or dry brake pads. get the pads checked first, if they
are OK, remove them and try a smear of Copper slip or brake grease on the
back of the pad where it contacts the calliper/piston. Check all the anti
squeal shims are present and correct.
